Calories - What They Are and How to Use Them

You hear it all the time, people saying that certain foods aren't healthy because they have a lot of calories or that other foods are healthy because they have very few calories. Is this true? Does the number of calories in a particular food determine whether or not it's good for you? I'm willing to bet that the majority of people reading this article will have no idea what a calorie really is. The point of this isn't to try and make anyone feel dumb. The point is to help you understand exactly what a calorie is, its role in burning excess body fat, and how you should be using them.
