Making Realistic Fitness Goals
"I want to lose X number of pounds," "I want to look like this", "I want to be a size X", "I have X health issue" these are all typical reasons why people start a diet and exercise routine. Understanding why you are putting yourself through this process is important in shaping your goal. When I first began, being over 300 pounds with forty approaching my goal was to be healthier and to no longer be that fat guy. I spent the first twenty years of my adult life as the fat guy & I didn't want to spend my next twenty that way. In addition I was beginning to have health problems from my reckless lifestyle and I wanted to do what I could to reverse that.
