Calories and the Effort to Lose Them

Calories are causes of weight gain. Medically speaking, one pound of the body mass is equated to around 3500 calories. This method of identifying the measurements of calories will help in determining the amount of calories you need to decrease so that the human system will lose one pound of weight. In scientific research, a calorie is basically defined by Nicolas Clement as a unit of heat that is also associated as a unit of food energy. Technically, the body needs calories as a source of energy that will help the bodily functions in working properly. The main problem that most people have with the calories is that it will become stored fat once the person is unable to burn it as energy. Thus, it becomes unused and kept as fats that will lead to the person to gain weight and become obese.
