Are Hormones to Blame For Belly Fat?

Are your hormones to blame for excess belly fat? You don't have to be middle-aged to start developing belly fat, in fact women begin to put on weight around their middles once they reach 30. It is believed that the average woman gains one to two pounds a year and most of it is around the middle. This is the result of fluctuating hormone levels women experience as they get older, from their mid-thirties levels of progesterone decline faster than levels of eostrogen, therefore the hormone balance becomes out of sync and this leads to weight gain and other side effects.
