Using Inspiring Incentives to Lose Weight
In our evolutionary history there were three major food groups that were very rare and precious in nature, and so human beings came to crave and, even lust, after them. Those coveted food groups are salt, fat, and sugar. One of them may occur quite abundantly in a given area in nature, but to have all three aptly provided in any natural environment is extremely uncommon. It was only through craving these critical foods that we had the instincts to hoard them or, at the least, to eat as much as possible when they were available. Now, in a world where these same foods are the cheapest and most available foods (fast food), the instinct to hoard and devour them is causing severe obesity, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure leading to stroke, and a variety of other ailments.
